Fatwa Center of America is a not for profit organization aimed to cater the needs of global Muslim community in answering their questions pertaining to religious life and spirituality. The questions are primarily answered by Mufti Ikram Ul Haq president of Fatwa Center of America. All questions are answered in light of the sacred Shariah of Islam. We hope to enrich understanding, debate and discussion by providing an Islamic perspective to queries and specific concerns.
Mufti Ikram ul Haq is the founding president of Fatwa Center of America (previously known as Darul Ifta of Rhode Island). He graduated with the degree of Takhassus Fil-Ifta (PhD in Islamic Jurisprudence) from Jamiah Darul-Uloom Karachi, Pakistan in 2005. He was blessed to complete his studies under the supervision of some of the great luminaries in Islamic theology and Jurisprudence. Among his teachers was Shaykhul-Islam Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani and Mufti Muhammad Rafi Usmani who is the current grand Mufti of Islamic Republic of Pakistan (May Allah protect them). He completed the bulk of his Islamic studies course at the Institute of Islamic Sciences, Islamabad Pakistan. He completed the memorization of the Holy Qurï¿½an at the age of 11. Thereafter he went on to continue his study of Islamic sciences for an additional 6 years.
