Henna does not stop the water to reach the skin. Therefore if someone applied Henna and thereafter made Wudhu or Ghusl, it will be valid correct.
The Wudhu that you made while the Henna (Mehndi) was in good condition is considered valid and subsequently all the prayers offered with such Wudhu also stand valid. You do not need to repeat those prayers.
The issue will nail polish is different as it prevents water from reaching the surfacing of nail. Hence the Wudhu becomes invalid.
And Allah knows best.
