Answer

My actual travel will start after several days but I am moving to a new place about 12 miles to stay for a couple of days and then go on with my travel. I am musafir in a new place? Should I pray qasr? Can musafir offer long ago missed prayers which were not done in the proper age to make up for them? Thanks.

One becomes a Musafir by leaving the boundary of the city of village where he was staying. If you will be staying at the temporary place that 12 miles away from you city for less than 15 days then you will continue to perform Qasr prayers. If the length of your stay is 15 days or more then you will perform complete Salah.
You are allowed to observe any missed prayers while you are a Musafir but the missed prayers must be observed as they were missed. If you missed some prayers while you were a Musafir then you would observe them as Qasr and if you missed the prayers while you were not a Musafir then you would offer them complete.
And Allah knows best.
