Assalam o aliykum, Mufti Sb.  I was just having one thought due to which i am feeling myself under pressure as if i have done some sin. Please help me. I was having around well above nisab gold and silver, as well as land for sale and land for making house. I also have taken some loan due to few reasons which has to be returned within this year. I have deducted the loan amount and calculated zakat on the remaining amount and paid. Yesterday it came to my mind that the gold &silver which is in possession, it is and will only be used by my wife as jewelery but i will not use it, so is it become her property? And the loans which i owed were wrongly deducted from total amount which also includes amount of gold and silver? Please help me out in this according to Quran, Sunnah & Ahadees. If i am not clear, please let me know. Jazak Allah Khair.

By merely saying that the jewlery will only be used by your wife, it does not become the ownership of your wife. If you wish to make your wife the owner of the jewlery then you must specifically give her the jewlery witht the rights of ownership.

And Allah knows best.
